“After the most traumatic week of our lives, my brother is now living at Sky Gardens and seems to be ok.
He has been calm and measured, no yelling or swearing for 48 hours, despite his anguish and distress over the move. With Northcott’s help, he was able to visit Mum at her care home yesterday. I was so proud of him – he spoke so beautifully to her, told her all about the unit, that’s he’s happy, has everything he needs and he know it is the right decision. Lots of tears were shed – by both of us. I congratulated him and told him I was proud.
I just cannot thank you all enough for what you are doing for him. I know we still have tough times ahead but I feel we have some hope now of being able to integrate him into a safe community, as well as healing relationships within our family.
In my direct dealings with AccessAccom, and especially Helen Wood, our family has been treated with kindness, patience, understanding and respect. Their support has been unwavering – from our initial meetings, to unit viewings, the final move and then ongoing support living at Sky Gardens. It’s been a long process and AccessAccom (Matthew, Helen and James) have been with us the whole way and we cannot thank them enough”.
